Looking for a Bootcamp class? Check out our Clairemont bootcamp fitness class on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 730A (600A coming soon).
Wondering what Bootcamp is all about? Do not worry it is not as scary as you’d think.
It is an interval-styled workout program that switched between cardiovascular, core and strength training. It is an intense workout that leaves you breathless, but with toned abs and lean muscles.
Bootcamp challenges every muscle in your body and with little rest in between each set; you are bound to feel the burn and intensity. By constantly moving for an hour, your body has no time to rest, therefore your burning hundreds of calories, even when you stop. It is a way to challenge your body and mind into doing a workout, which leaves no prisoners.
It is for the strong, the weak, the fit, and the not so fit. There is no discrimination, if you have the will to finish what you started.
Bootcamp classes are a great way to incinerate those calories. You are moving constantly, at a rapid pace, which burns serious calories. Typically, a participant will burn between 500 and 800 calories during their 60-minute session. By incorporating strength training and intervals of cardio, you will experience a total body workout and torch that unwanted fat more effectively.
Like most (especially me), people usually dread boring cardio. So, mixing it up in short bursts you can accomplish more and keep the intensity up and the focus dialed in. You will still burn just as many calories, if not more. This training method is essential for weight loss because you need the fat burning cardio mixed with the lean muscle building training to get your desired results.
Once you complete your first class, soaking wet with sweat, fatigued muscles, pounding heart, you will get the confidence, realizing you just conquered and completed your first class. This helps build your confidence, self-esteem and will leave you feeling reinvented knowing you just did something amazing for your body and mind.
We will push you past your obstacles and mental or physical blocks. It does not matter what level you are as long as you keep moving and pushing forward. Some of us need that extra push to find that inner athlete, which everyone has inside of them.
You will develop discipline working out in an environment that pushes you to be part of a team. You will be surrounded with others that are feeling the same way you are, in their own ways.
One thing you never have to worry about is boredom! Every fitness routine is unique, and no program is ever repeated. You may have a similar theme from time to time, but never the same exercise progressions. Your body will never know what to expect and will be shocked every time.
